The chassis extension for the Fiat Ducato 230/244 Normal (year of construction 1994–2006) provides the load-bearing framework for safely mounting a tow bar, rear bike rack, or further rear-mounted accessories to your caravan or motorhome. The SMV base chassis extension is identical in design and equally suitable for Peugeot Boxer and Citroën Jumper of the 230/244 type. It is supplied at a length of 1500 mm and can be trimmed to the required dimension.

• Supplied length: 1500 mm – the extension is trimmed to the desired length and thus fits a variety of body configurations.
• Max. nose weight: 150 kg for rear-mounted accessories such as a tow bar or rear bike rack.
• Material: Steel, hot-dip galvanised – the corrosion protection is designed for permanent use at the rear of the vehicle.
• Weight: approximately 38 kg for the complete system comprising chassis adapters and longitudinal members.
• Approval: supplied with an EC certificate of conformity, which forms the basis for official registration of the modification.
• Installation: The chassis adapters are bolted to the existing mounting points of the chassis; the load-bearing longitudinal members are then attached.
